Abstract

Abstrak Latar Belakang : Berdasarkan data dari Badan Pusat Statistik Indonesia, laju Pertumbuhan penduduk di Indonesia pada tahun 2021 adalah sebesar 1,22%, lebih tinggi dari tahun 2022 sebesar 1,17%.(BPS Pusat – Statistik Indonesia 2022, Publication Number 03200-2205). Sementara untuk provinsi Kalimantan Timur sendiri laju pertumbuhan penduduk pada tahun 2021 sebesar 0,84% dan 2022 mengalami kenaikan sebesar 1,22%. Untuk Kota Balikpapan, laju pertumbuhan penduduk tahun 2021 sebesar 0,76% dan pada tahun 2022 mengalami kenaikan sebesar 1,26%. Untuk mengatasi pertambahan laju pertumbuhan penduduk tersebut, pemerintah pusat mencanangkan Program Keluarga Berencana, salah satunya adalah dengan kontrasepsi suntik. Terdapat dua jenis kontrasepsi suntik suntik, yaitu Combined Injectable Contraceptives (CICs) dan Progestine only Injectable Contraceptives (PICs). Jenis PICs diantaranya adalah Depo- Medroxyprogesterone Acetate (DMPA), diberikan setiap tiga bulan sekali. Efek samping kontrasepsi suntik yang paling utama adalah gangguan pola haid, sedangkan efek yang lain tidak kalah pentingnya adalah adanya peningkatan berat badan antara 1-5 kg . Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan pemakaian kontrasepsi suntik dengan peningkatan berat badan pada akseptor KB Suntik di TPMB Bidan Sodiyah Kota Balikpapan tahun 2023. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan penelitian Analitic Corelation dan dengan pendekatan Case Control. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh akseptor KB suntik sebanyak 80 orang, cara pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan puprosive sampling sebanyak 21 responden kasus, dan 21 responden kontrol, total 42 responden. Data dianalisis dengan melakukan uji analisis chi-square. Hasil : Didapatkan responden yang menggunakan kontrasepsi suntik 3 bulan sebesar 22 (52,4%) lebih banyak dari pengguna kontrasepsi suntik 1 bulan sebesar 20 (47,6%). Responden yang mengalami kenaikan berat badan 21 (50%) responden, dan yang tidak mengalami kenaikan berat badan sebesar 21 (50%) responden. Dilakukan uji chi square pada responden dengan hasil nilai Pvalue sebesar 0,001 <  (0,05) maka Ho ditolak, artinya ada hubungan yang signifikan antara penggunaan kontrasepsi suntik dengan kenaikan berat badan. Simpulan : Dapat disimpulkan adanya hubungan penggunaan kontrasepsi suntik dengan kenaikan berat badan pada akseptor KB di PMB Sodiyah A.Md.Keb Kota Balikpapan Tahun 2023. Di sarankan untuk di berikan informasi kepada akspetor terkait efek samping kontrasepsi suntik juga alternatif kontrasepsi lain selain suntik yang tidak mempunyai efek samping terhadap peningkatan berat badan. Serta Abstract Background: Based on data from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency, the population growth rate in Indonesia in 2021 is 1.22%, higher than 1.17% in 2022. (Central BPS - Indonesian Statistics 2022, Publication Number 03200-2205 ). Meanwhile, for the province of East Kalimantan itself, the population growth rate in 2021 will be 0.84% and in 2022 there will be an increase of 1.22%. For Balikpapan City, the population growth rate in 2021 will be 0.76% and in 2022 it will increase by 1.26%. To overcome the increasing population growth rate, the central government launched a Family Planning Program, one of which is injectable contraception. There are two types of injectable contraceptives, namely Combined Injectable Contraceptives (CICs) and Progestine only Injectable Contraceptives (PICs). Types of PICs include Depo-Medroxyprogesterone Acetate (DMPA), given once every three months. The main side effect of injectable contraception is menstrual pattern disorders, while another effect that is no less important is an increase in body weight of between 1-5 kg. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the use of injectable contraception and weight gain in injectable contraceptive acceptors at TPMB Midwife Sodiyah, Balikpapan City in 2023. Method: This research uses a quantitative research design using analytical correlation research and a case control approach. The population in this study was all 80 injectable contraceptive acceptors, the sampling method was using purposive sampling, 21 case respondents and 21 control respondents, a total of 42 respondents. Data were analyzed by conducting a chi-square analysis test. Results: It was found that 22 (52.4%) more respondents used 3-month injection contraception than 20 (47.6%) users of 1-month injection contraception. Respondents who experienced weight gain were 21 (50%) respondents, and those who did not experience weight gain were 21 (50%) respondents. A chi square test was carried out on respondents with a P value of 0.001 <  (0.05), so Ho was rejected, meaning that there was a significant relationship between the use of injectable contraception and weight gain. Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is a relationship between the use of injectable contraception and weight gain in birth control acceptors in PMB Sodiyah A.Md.Keb, Balikpapan City in 2023. It is recommended that information be given to acceptors regarding the side effects of injectable contraception as well as alternative contraceptives other than injections that do not has the side effect of increasing body weight.
