Abstract
Latar Belakang: Personal hygiene yang baik harus mulai diterapkan sejak dini, karena apabila sejak dini anak telah diajarkan pengetahuan tentang kebersihan diri, anak akan dapat menumbuhkan kebiasaan dalam melakukan praktik personal hygiene seperti mandi, menyikat gigi, mencuci tangan pakai sabun dan menyisir. Dukungan keluarga yang baik dapat meningkatkan kemandirian pada anak prasekolah. Untuk membentuk karakter mandiri pada anak usia prasekolah membutuhkan peran dukungan keluarga. Tujuan: mengetahui hubungan dukungan keluarga terhadap kemandirian personal hygiene anak usia prasekolah di seluruh RA Cukilan. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi sejumlah 116 responden dengan sampel 90 responden menggunakan teknik proportionate random sampling. Uji statistik yang digunakan uji kendall tau. Hasil Penelitian: Nilai p value (0,027) < α (0,05) artinya adanya hubungan dukungan keluarga terhadap kemandirian personal hygiene anak usia prasekolah di seluruh RA Cukilan dan nilai korelasi 0,217 artinya hubungannya cukup, jadi jika dukungan keluarga baik maka kemandirian personal hygiene anak baik. Kesimpulan: adanya hubungan dukungan keluarga terhadap kemandirian personal hygiene anak usia prasekolah di seluruh RA Cukilan. Saran: bagi orang tua diharapkan lebih meningkatkan dukungan keluarga agar kemandirian personal hygiene anak semakin baik. Background: Good personal hygiene must be implemented from an early age as children will get used to developing the habit of carrying out personal hygiene practices such as bathing, brushing teeth, washing hands with soap and combing. Good family support can increase independence in preschool children. To form independent character in preschool children it requires the role of family support. Objective: to determine the relationship between family support and the personal hygiene independence of preschool-aged children at RA Cukilan. Method: This research used a quantitative research design with a cross sectional approach. The population were 116 respondents with a sample of 90 respondents using proportionate random sampling technique. The statistical test used was the Kendall Tau test. Research Results: The p value (0.027) < α (0.05) means that there is a relationship between family support and the personal hygiene independence of preschool-aged children at RA Cukilan and the correlation value is 0.217, means the relationship is sufficient, so if family support is good then the child's personal hygiene independence is good. Conclusion: there is a relationship between family support and the personal hygiene independence of preschool-aged children at RA Cukilan. Suggestion: parents are expected to increase family support so that children's personal hygiene independence becomes better.
