Abstract

Latar Belakang : ASI merupakan nutrisi ideal untuk bayi yang mengandung zat gizi paling sesuai dengan kebutuhan bayi dan mengandung seperangkat zat perlindungan untuk memerangi penyakit. Angka pemberian ASI eksklusif di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Cakupan pemberian ASI eksklusif di kota Balikpapan pada tahun 2022 sebesar 82,5% sementara cakupan pemberian ASI eksklusif di Puskesmas Baru Ilir sebesar 47,6%. Tujuan Penelitian : Mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan ibu tentang ASI eksklusif dan insisiasi menyusu dini dengan keberhasilan pemberian ASI Eksklusif di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Baru Ilir Balikpapan. Metode : Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang bersifat asosiatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu yang memiliki bayi usia 6-12 bulan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Baru Ilir Balikpapan sebanyak 732 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling, sampel sejumlah 88 orang, alat pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, teknik analisa data bivariat menggunakan uji Chi Square. Hasil : Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapatkan pengetahuan ibu di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Baru Ilir Balikpapan sebagian besar kurang yaitu 40,9%. Pelaksanaan IMD pada ibu post partum di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Baru Ilir Balikpapan sebagian besar tidak dilakukan yaitu 56,8%. Ada hubungan pengetahuan ibu tentang ASI esklusif dan Inisiasi Menyusu Dini (IMD) dengan keberhasilan ASI eksklusif di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Baru Ilir Balikpapan dengan nilai p value 0,000. Kesimpulan : Ada hubungan pengetahuan ibu tentang ASI esklusif dan Inisiasi Menyusu Dini (IMD) dengan keberhasilan ASI eksklusif di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Baru Ilir Balikpapan. Background: Breast milk is the ideal nutrition for babies which contains nutrients that best suit the baby's needs and contains a set of protective substances to fight disease. The rate of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is still relatively low. The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in the city of Balikpapan in 2022 will be 82.5%, while the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding at the Baru Ilir Community Health Center will be 47.6%. Research Objective: To determine the relationship between maternal knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding and early initiation of breastfeeding with the success of exclusive breastfeeding in the Baru Ilir Balikpapan Health Center Work Area. Method: The design of this research is associative quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study was all mothers who had babies aged 6-12 months in the Baru Ilir Balikpapan Health Center Work Area, totaling 732 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, a sample of 88 people, the data collection tool used a questionnaire, the bivariate data analysis technique used the Chi Square test. Results: Based on the research results, it was found that the knowledge of mothers in the Baru Ilir Balikpapan Health Center Work Area was mostly lacking, namely 40.9%. Most of the implementation of IMD for post partum mothers in the Baru Ilir Balikpapan Health Center Working Area was not carried out, namely 56.8%. There is a relationship between maternal knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding and Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD) with the success of exclusive breastfeeding in the work area of the Baru Ilir Balikpapan Health Center with a p value of 0.000. Conclusion: There is a relationship between maternal knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding and Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD) with the success of exclusive breastfeeding in the work area of the Baru Ilir Balikpapan Health Center.
